The Faculty Development Committee invites all faculty members to attend the next session in the AVID AI in Higher Education Professional Learning Series, taking place this Friday, March 7, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. via Zoom.

The workshop, titled "Empowering Critical Thinkers: Leveraging AI in Higher Education," will explore how artificial intelligence can be used to enhance critical thinking skills in college classrooms. This hands-on session will provide practical strategies and tools for faculty to incorporate AI into their teaching practices.

This professional learning series is a collaboration between the Faculty Development Committee,  , and Growing Inland Achievement (GIA), and is open to both part-time and full-time faculty members. Each workshop counts as three hours of general FLEX credit.

Faculty who attend live will have their participation automatically recorded in FLEX tracker. Those who watch the recordings later can still earn FLEX credit by submitting a brief summary of their learning and intended applications in their teaching practice.
