Business, Law, and Computer Information Systems

The Business, Law, and Computer Information Systems instructional pathway is designed for students who are interested in business administration, management, entrepreneurship, cyber security, computer programming, computer information systems, web development, networking, paralegal and pathway to law, or real estate.
Administration and Information Systems
Administration and Information Systems entails the study of theories, procedures and
practices, and the acquisition of skills necessary to function productively and effectively
in an administrative work environment. The program prepares students for careers and
managerial positions in business, administrative support, customer service, sales,
accounting/bookkeeping, and public relations.
Business Administration
Business Administration is the management of small, mid-size, and large businesses.
The program prepares students with the knowledge, technical skills, and work habits
to pursue positions in various business fields. The Business Administration program
is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs.
Computer Applications and Office Technology
This program offers students short term basic business skills needed in administrative,
clerical, legal, medical, and other business fields with the goal of increasing employability.
Computer Information Systems
The Computer Information Systems program empowers students with skills and technical
capabilities for careers in Computer Information Systems (CIS), CISCO Networking,
Cyber Security, Programming and Web Development.
Computer Science
The Computer Science program offers courses in object-oriented programming logic in
C++, computer architecture, calculus, and calculus-based physics. It prepares students
for transfer majors in Computer Science and a career in a wide variety of computing
fields.
The Entrepreneurship program provides students broad, intellectual, practical skills
that demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and concepts related to: identifying
business opportunities, evaluating ideas, assessing the markets, and exploring risks
and rewards. Through a series of courses that include hands-on and experiential learning,
students develop knowledge and skills that serve as a springboard to start, run, and
grow their own business.
Global Business
Students interested in understanding global business operations are a perfect fit
for the Global Business program. Coursework provides students an understanding of
global business and prepares them for professions in the global business realm.
The Cybersecurity/Cyber Defense program is well established with courses that lead students to gainful employment in the cyber defense workforce. RCC is the first community college in the Inland Empire region to be designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) program. The designation from the National Security Agency and Department of Homeland Security validates the certificate program in Information Security and Cyber Defense and creates opportunity for current and future students.
Business and Information Systems Engagement Center
The Business and Information Systems engagement center houses the CTE student success team which includes educational advisors, peer mentors, counselors, and faculty. Our Engagement Center is open and excited to welcome you!
